The Oak Ridge Alumnae Chapter has worked tenaciously through the years with public service initiatives in the Oak Ridge community. In May 2006, at the ORAC chapter's anniversary celebration held at the Children's Defense Fund, Haley Farm, ORAC facilitated the Delta Academy and Delta GEMS Rites of Passage Program that was inspired by our 20th National President, Dr. Bertha Maxwell Roddey.

A year later in May 2007, at ORAC's Silver Jubilee Celebration the Sorority's 23rd National President, Dr. Louise A. Rice was the keynote speaker, who strengthened the hearts and minds of sorors by focusing on the importance of continuing to empower communities with the work Delta sorors committed to doing.

Welcoming a challenge, the DST Oak Ridge Alumnae Chapter volunteered to host the 2007 Tennessee State Cluster where over 300 sorors from across the state and region gathered in the Secret City of Oak Ridge, Tennessee to move forward the Delta agenda of sisterhood, scholarship, and service in our communities. ORAC has continued to add over 50 new members since 1982, of women who want to be servant leaders in the Oak Ridge community.
